Local roots, national reach
Stockport Suspended Ceilings is based in Bredbury and covers Stockport, Manchester, Cheshire and the North West for day-to-day commercial work. But since 2006 we have also delivered ceiling and fit-out projects for more than 28 national brands right across the UK and Ireland — from a coworking scheme at MediaCityUK to Thomas Sabo in Milton Keynes and WHSmith inside Heathrow Airport.

Our largest single ceiling. Around 2,000m² of grid ceiling in a science laboratory, where the work was setting out and sequencing rather than the ceiling itself: holding the grid line true right across the building and coordinating extract, services and controlled environments before a single hanger went in.

Acoustic barrier build, black grid
Rain on an uninsulated metal roof was loud enough to stop a take. Fixing it took a barrier ceiling built for mass and separation, not absorbent tiles: long hangers clear of the roof deck, a mass barrier layer over the tile, and every penetration sealed.
