What are commercial suspended ceilings?
A commercial suspended ceiling is a prefabricated ceiling system fitted below a building's structural deck. A metal grid framework is suspended from the structure above using threaded rods and adjustable hangers. Ceiling tiles, acoustic panels or plasterboard are then fixed into or onto the framework, creating a finished ceiling surface with a void above for building services.
The void above a commercial suspended ceiling carries the services that make a building work — lighting, sprinkler systems, air conditioning, data cabling, ventilation ducts and electrical conduit. The ceiling system allows access to these services at any point while delivering a clean, consistent finished surface below. Commercial suspended ceilings are standard in virtually all UK commercial buildings constructed or refurbished in the last 30 years.

Fire-rated ceiling systems
Required by building regulations on escape routes, stairwells, between floors and in plant areas. We install 30, 60 and 120-minute fire-rated systems using independently tested tile and grid combinations. Full completion documentation provided for building control sign-off.
MF (metal-framed) ceilings
The premium option for hotel bedrooms, restaurant dining rooms, retail flagship stores and high-specification reception areas. An MF ceiling has a concealed framework with a seamless plasterboard surface — no visible grid lines. The result looks like a traditional plastered ceiling but is suspended from the structure above.
